and joy -- it can be a dance of celebration or a dance of
sorrow.

Ilia Morales is a certified ZUMBA Instructor who
has loved to dance since she was a little girl. Born in Puerto
Rico, a small island in the Caribbean full of Latin music
and folklore, is what has inspired Ilia to become a ZUMBA
Instructor. ZUMBA not only keeps you in good shape, she says,
but also lets you have a good time while dancing to Cumbia,
Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Regaeton, and Samba. The only thing
that Ilia expects of her students is to enjoy the rhythms
of the Caribbean while exercising their body, mind and spirit.
Elizabeth Ashcraft, RYT, has been doing yoga and
walking for 15 years. In 1999 I was facing yet another surgery
and started taking Hatha Yoga with Diane Hill. In 2003, again
facing surgery, I started taking Tai Chi with Saundra Emerson.
I fell in love with Tai Chi and my health improved so much
that I progressed to Saber (Broadsword) and Gim (Straight
Sword). I've also studied Kung Fu and in 2004, won a Gold
Medal in Tai Chi at the Wah Lum State Competition. In 2005
I won a Gold Medal for Saber at the International Competition.
My health has improved so much that I wanted to learn Reiki
healing and have reached Level 2 in Reiki. I enjoy Tai Chi,
Yoga, Reiki and the improved health benefits that all of these
have brought into my life. I am a graduate of Visuddha Yoga
Teacher Training Association and a Registered Yoga Teacher
with Yoga Alliance.

Morris Sullivan first began meditating as a teenager
studying yoga at the end of the 1960s. He has since practiced
many styles of meditation, meditative arts and mind/body practices,
including Zen, vipassana, hatha yoga, Chito-Ryu karate, tai
chi, and qigong.
Morris is a certified tai chi teacher under Plum Blossom
International, Doc-Fai Wong, grandmaster, and is a member
of the International Tai Chi Federation. He studies under
Sifu David Carr, sixth generation Yang style tai chi master.
Tai chi is many things, Morris says. Of course, it is a martial
art. More important, however, tai chi offers a means to coordinate
internal and external movement -- the motions generated by
mind, breath and body -- to help the practitioner reach higher
states of mental and physical fitness.
Along with teaching tai chi and meditation at BlueSky Yoga
Center, Morris has co-coordinated two very successful Change
Your Mind Day events in DeLand co-leads meetings and guides
meditations at Sangha West Volusia, the DeLand-based ecumenical
Buddhist fellowship and leads a weekly Buddhist meditation
group with inmates at Tomoka Correctional Institution.
